At least for a day or so, Representative Gohmert is holding up this Virus Relief Bill because he wants to actually read the bill. To me Gohmert is a patriot and for that he’ll be vilified by the illiberal locusts of the left. How dare he expect the House to actually READ the bill! What is wrong with this guy? Doesn’t he know that without all the pork, fraud waste and abuse America can’t function? Why what does he think this is – A real Democracy or the Banana Republic it is?
If this were a real functioning Democracy the bill would ONLY have money allocated for items directly related to relief for those impacted by the Virus and the economic slowdown. What’s Gohmert’s problem? That the Dems would stuff unneeded pork projects or perhaps stuff Abortion on Demand money into it and make even those of us who believe in the sanctity of life pay for it?
To those of us who’ve analyzed these things, let’s compare this crisis to the 2008 financial meltdown. It is my humble opinion that the Government created the 2008 financial meltdown. The origin of the crisis could easily be seen as starting in 1999 when Clinton signed the GLBA that did away with the Glass Steagall Act (a sane act from the Depression) which prevented commercial banks from merging with investment banks. That is, the speculation of selling derivatives from seemingly solid real estate would NEVER have been able to happen if the scum from BOTH parties didn’t pass this GLBA bill and give hedge funds and investment banks the ability to print high risk paper – at the same time their cronies in government were making it easier to sell a home to people clearly without credit or means to buy one by simply yelling “racism” and “red-lining” to make sure that every poor minority or dead beat could buy a home with little to nothing down – then borrow on it taking out large sums they would never be able to pay back. So eventually it all imploded. The 2008 financial fiasco was definitely man caused.
So, there are some out there who think this present Covid-19 disaster is an act of God. Not me. It too is man caused. Whether it was really due to those god-awful delicacies of the Chinese palate – Koala Bears, Snakes – and somehow from a bat – the virus sprang to humans – and became a world wide pandemic. Or the more logical cause by the Red Chinese Bio-weapons lab conveniently located in Wuhan. Either way, evil men concocted this virus either through extreme carelessness or for more sinister calculated reasons. Some Democrats like the former Obama COS and Chicago Mayor famously said: “never let a good crisis go to waste”. Did they help plan it with their propagandists in the Media to tank the economy to take down Trump? Or, some think that China tanking the US economy might be beneficial to them even if they had to incur some damage as well. Some think that a country of Mao’s Great Leap Forward that killed 80 million or so of their own people by starving them to death would have no problem killing a few thousand Americans and Europeans. And certainly a few thousand Chinese dead are nothing compared to the days of the Great Leap Forward.
Is Gohmert a scoundrel or patriot. I call him a patriot in the midst of many evil men both in America and China.
