There was rather amusing satirical piece I recently posted inspired by David Keys’ X post about how no matter what happens in the world – you can always figure if you’re at loss for who to blame – you can always blame Jews or Israel.
But now that some high-profile Conservatives have come out squarely against Israel – and in some cases right up to the sort of Stereotyping we got in 1930 Germany or any number of periods in history when Jews were singled out for the cause of the ills within their society – it is time to speak out. Pogroms in Russia, Spanish Inquisition, and many more. Some of the stereotyping was a direct result of the early Catholic Church that left banking and that unsavory act of “usury” to Jews. So, even in popular culture we have evil Jewish banker hooked nose caricatures – even in Shakespeare – and though these Jewish bankers did in fact aid cash strapped individuals and countries – they became key figures in on going conspiracy theory – that both sides of the political spectrum could agree on – blame Jews for what was wrong with their country.
When I posted Jewsdit.com I was not so concerned that things were that bad, but I did want to make the point that blaming Jews was not something new. It started as a joke.
But after the anti-Semitic protests on our elite College Campuses, the mass terror attack in Australia – and the outspoken so-called Conservative talking heads blaming Israel for the world’s problems – like Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens – it is time for Americans and the real Conservative West to wake up to this new virus of anti-Semitism.
Some, talk about de-platforming them – whatever the hell that means – as if that will really stop these bad ideas from growing, and others state that we have a first amendment – so they have a right to speak. Yep, we do. I do not say shut them up – but rather expose them for the bigots and anti-Semites they are.
Those of us who have lived long enough to have had relatives exterminated in THE Holocaust – where literally nearly half the population of Jews in the world during the 1930s/40s (6 million of 15.3 million worldwide population – 6 million of 9 million European Jews) were erased from the earth – we have a second sense that what is happening today in the so-called enlightened West is not that different from the disease that took over the most advanced country in Europe – Germany – and led to the worst slaughter of one group of people in history.
Some Conservatives who are not Jews or are indifferent about Israel – can say – just ignore this – but given the history that is still quite alive and real to many of us – we must never let these fools spread their poisonous anti-Israel anti-Jewish vitriol without taking them to task. Elie Wiesel said it best: NEVER SHALL I FORGET! I was laughing at the funny post on X. But after the terrorist attack in Australia and the lame response from the obviously anti-Semitic PM – and the outrageous anti-Semites coming from so-called American “Conservatives”, it is time to realize that most of EU, Canada, and Australia – and parts of the US – are breeding grounds for the kind of hate that led to the holocaust. I am locked and loaded and I don’t mean just metaphorically! And every Jew with a survival instinct should be ready to defend himself and his family and stand up to the anti-Semites wherever they exist. I’m not laughing now.
