My response to Governor Abbott’s admittedly tone deaf defense of the state of Texas response with some absurd comparison to “football teams make mistake too???” to the horrific flood that killed so many innocent children at summer camp:
The reality is that there are DEI hires and those on the wrong side of the Bell Curve in govt positions in Texas too – maybe not as many as LA – but there are no doubt things that need to change to prevent this carnage from happening to this EXTENT again – and no Barbara – I don’t mean Climate Change – we can’t do much about that – but we can make smart decisions about warning systems for floods, fires etc.
Abbott – you need to stop defending stupidity. Fall on the sword. Admit the state and local authorities screwed up. Now fix it and shut the fuck up!
