Shut up and dribble is really pretty funny and to the point. The guy that is the best guy to play basketball since Jordan, who went straight from High School to the NBA, is not exactly an Einstein. Ok, so the guy is an uneducated dolt when you get right down to it.
Laura Ingraham makes a funny quip and like many fans of sports, she would like them to play the game and stop with all the politics. But let’s face facts. About 80% of all NBA players are black and I guess Blacks make up over 50% of the NFL. So, I get that blacks, even those over paid undereducated adolescents in professional sports, have some desire to use their celebrity to help their people.
Problem is, encouraging disrespect of the flag and the military, police and the fans is not the way to do it. Solving the drug issue in the inner city, NOW that might be a real start. Encouraging black men to support their children or better yet, stay married. Simple fact that poverty is drastically reduced when two parents are in the home. Not to mention that maybe, just maybe, some of these black teens on drugs or on a path to prison or the morgue, might be saved by some mentoring by a father who is home or at least actively participating in their child’s upbringing.
But the illiberal left who want to bring it all down, who want to control people, they don’t really care about blacks. And for White Democrat mayors and senators, damn if they aren’t getting photo ops of kneeling in solidarity with the looters, anarchists and domestic terrorists. Many are white, but even the black race baiters in politics, they’re in it for the power and money – not to actually make any meaningful change. Blacks in the inner city are being used to execute the Alinsky radical mode of intimidation and extortion. Hence, riots in the name of Black Lives Matter. But when they destroy the inner city and cops retreat like they did in Baltimore and Ferguson – murders in the black community go up.
So, if BLM was really about saving lives, they’d want more police. They’d actually want “stop and frisk” as discriminatory as they might think it is. The reality is that I ran the murder numbers during the eight years in NY before Giuliani and stop and frisk and the eight years of Giuliani as mayor. The murder rate went down from years that averaged way over 2,000 to under 500 per year. My simple math led to about 10,000 lives saved during Giuliani’s reign as mayor. And guess what? About 80% or so of those murders or lives saved were BLACK MEN.
It is a simple mathematical fact that Giuliani’s tough on crime stop and frisk saved thousands of black lives. Yet, what did you hear in the phony democrat debates? Even the Munchkin Billionaire backed off that policy he continued. Instead of actually showing he had a pair and admitting that stop and frisk not only worked but saved thousands of black lives, he capitulated to the mob and the narrative that stop and frisk unfairly discriminated against blacks. Well it did. They came from broken homes without mentors and they had guns and were on drugs. And that is why there were more blacks stopped and frisked.
Back to the topic: I’d like to see Lebron go on her show and see if he can play ball against someone with logic and reason instead of emotion and hatred of America…HE’D be slam dunked – reduced to the ignorant low IQ China apologist America hating ingrate that he is. Given his celebrity status and China’s love of basketball, LeBron would no doubt be treated like royalty, but there are several reports of black Africans evicted from their homes and treated very shabbily by the Communist Chinese. Ask the million or so Muslims in concentration camps how they’ve been treated by the Communist Chinese. Sadly, LeBron and the other indoctrinated blacks with clout never seem to focus on the real problem. When perhaps the greatest running back of all time Jim Brown puts his finger on what the real problem is – he’s ostracized. Too bad. LeBron should listen to a man who actually knew what real racial discrimination looked like.
