In a Yahoo hit piece from NBC news that called out things that Trump and his administration did wrong during the Coronavirus Pandemic – I found this enlightening comment from a person named Will – who obviously spent some time in the military:
“In the military there is something called a “Hotwash” or After-Action Review. It is a review done after all of the facts are known, a concise timeline of events is established so that context can be put into the decision making that occurred. Attempting to do an AAR during an event is always biased as you can only see events and decisions through the scope of your ideals without any understanding of the when, where, why, how and by whom things occurred. We’ll have time for this in the future and it must be done. That said, it’s fascinating that this review seems to forget the WHO told the whole world on Jan 18, 2020 the virus could not be transmitted person to person. They also seem to forget that on Jan 28, 2020 Sen Tom Cotton raised a red flag on the virus and was called a bigot for accusing China of not telling / sharing all information. Decisions never get made in a vacuum but occur in real time with changing dynamics. The House and Senate also made the decision to take little action which might have been critical as all responses will require funding and all spending must originate in the House. That said, we need a complete review when all of this is over and sadly, I believe there will be enough blame to go around. For me, I’m most interested in how and why the WHO an organization we fund and who were on the ground in China, couldn’t even conclude until late January that the virus could be transmitted from person to person as I believe that one, critical, early misstep set many other “wrong” decisions in motion not just in the USA but around the globe.”
My response to Will: The WHO’s leader is an Ethiopian named Tedros who is clearly a puppet of China. In Ethiopia – China invests about $5 B a year – and they hand-picked Tedros. The blame for the BIG failure to minimize the effects of this pandemic is most clearly to laid at the feet of Tedros and the WHO – who are doing the bidding of the Chicoms – even though the US and Bill Gates are the largest direct donors to the WHO. You do not need to be a conspiracy theorist to connect the dots that China put this in motion – timed it during the impeachment and division in America and the coming election – knowing full well that they’d get aid and comfort from Dems and their surrogates in the media like NBC and Chuck Todd.
