Like a stopped clock which is at least right twice in a day, I must confess that Vox, left wing media hacks, actually got one right about the evils of the consultancy company McKinsey. The problem, though, was that while they were bashing McKinsey, they left out the connection between McKinsey and their globalist push to offshore as much as possible to China.
I actually felt sorry for the aging retired McKinsey idiot who was taken apart by Tucker Carlson a few days ago on his Fox News show. I don’t want to repeat his name, because it was truly embarrassing. But he is symbolic of the morally bankrupt firms and their employees who sold out America. What was interesting was that this retired McKinsey guy was apparently not really connected to McKinsey’s offshoring of products and manufacturing to China. He said he simply gave advice on his expertise of Insurance. Hmm. But what he did know very well and had no problem with was their totalitarian Collectivist mentality that allowed them to put one million Uighurs in concentration camps to protect the 99 million good Chinese from Islamic terrorism. He even compared that atrocity to what FDR did interring Japanese during WWII. Although I don’t exactly find them morally equivalent, he does have a point.
What is disappointing is that during the last fifty years since Kissinger opened up a backward declining China to the West, the US and many countries in the West viewed China as cheap labor and potentially a billion or more customers. China’s communist regimes have looked at the decadent US and EU as suckers and enemies. Our McKinsey retiree was very matter of fact about the concentration camps, or other customs we might find morally repugnant like the wet markets where they eat pets, koala bears, bats, ikkk, (not mentioned in this interview, but organ harvesting is one of the more grotesque things that China excels in that gets little press from the crime families that support the commerce that makes many individuals and a few companies like McKinsey wealthy while putting American companies and workers out of business). Our McKinsey retiree when asked about the morality of the trade to China, he simply replied that everyone was just repeating the “mantra” of “free trade”. Free trade? Currency manipulation. Theft of intellectual property. Predatory Pricing that put whole industries out of business. So now during this Wuhan Chinese Plague, our life saving medical supplies and drugs are all at the mercy of the Chinese supply chain. All of this was allowed by our government and ruling class. As the middle-class was disappearing and getting poorer, unfettered legal and illegal immigration boomed, while Walmart gets 75% of their cheap crap from China – everyone wins right? Ain’t Capitalism grand?
No this is not free market capitalism. This is crony socialism. A few get very rich. The rest share in the misery. The country declines, China grows. The Confucius atheists of the east prosper. All for the Collective. Some for the family. Nothing for the individual. Good little robots. Like Star Trek’s Borg. All will be assimilated. Resistance is Futile!
What our McKinsey retiree demonstrated was the simple greed and lack of a moral compass that leads to socialist hell: Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot or Stalin. Were the German companies that made the weapons or built the death camps for the Nazi war machine complicit? Is McKinsey or any of large list of multinationals guilty of giving China the rope that they have hung us with? I know I’m not supposed to end a sentence with a preposition – I didn’t go to Haaavad…let’s rephrase for that Ivy League graduate – the rope that they have hung as with – asshole!
