Bezos backed down on Amazon’s decision to “censor” former NY Times reporter Berenson who wrote a booklet giving different stats on the Wuhan Plague Hoax from the ones approved by the Ruling Class. Thanks Breitbart. Good to see that occasionally Conservatives and those of us who believe in the 1st amendment have some clout to make the illiberal locusts of the left back down in their never-ending quest to stifle free speech.
But the fact remains that Amazon needs to be broken up the way Standard Oil was. The situations are quite similar really. At the time Rockefeller’s Standard Oil was richer than most countries and would be worth over a trillion dollars by today’s currency. Amazon is approaching a Trillion dollars in value and only 16 Countries of about 200 on the planet have a GDP more than a trillion dollars.
Plus Dr. Evil may be a hero to the Globalist Socialists who read the Washington Compost, but he has way too much influence and essentially makes it impossible for anything resembling competition for both small and even larger businesses. He didn’t just wipe out mom and pop booksellers, or even large retail booksellers, he has decimated business after business, and like an insatiable giant bottomless pit, every business on the planet that has a product that can be shipped through their web of evil is at risk.
I know it is a small victory, but it is a start. One little booklet. But without the Federal Government coming down hard on Amazon for anti-trust violations, Bezos has the power to censor and put almost any retail company that isn’t Walmart out of business. Though the illiberal left may like this tyrant, the business they save may be their own! Anti-Trust folks need to get off their butts. Amazon, Facebook, Google, Twitter – all need to be broken up and regulated like the broadcast media they are. Social media and these tech giants have way too much power for evil. Social media has unrestricted ability for libelous political content or censorship that the broadcast media does not have. Though the FCC and FTC do little to reign in the libelous content coming from the half dozen or so crime families that control broadcast media, at least there is some oversight, minuscule that it might be. But the tech social media and monopolies have virtually none. Political censorship and using monopoly power to put companies out of business must be stopped.
