It seems the illiberal locusts of the left are making a big deal about Trump holding a rally on Juneteenth the same day many blacks celebrate to commemorate the day slaves were freed. But I think blacks need to spend some time actually understanding what took place on that date before they get upset with a Republican President who is holding a rally on that day.
It might be worth remembering that over 300,000 White Northern soldiers led by our First Republican President, Abraham Lincoln, died freeing the slaves in the Civil War. So somehow a Republican President, falsely labeled a racist, holding a rally offends them? Well, I am a bit offended that too many African Americans have no grasp of history and to whom they should be thankful. As a white man, I celebrate that day because finally after immense suffering with the most carnage and death America has ever suffered in war, we finally righted the one wrong that had kept America from living up to its potential as truly a land where all men are free.
Remember, it wasn’t the Republican party that fought to keep Blacks second class citizens. It was the Democrat party, and hence, in addition to the 13th amendment which gave blacks freedom, the 14th and 15th were passed by a predominantly Republican Congress, that gave them citizenship – even as the Democrats fought this for about 100 years until the Civil Rights Act. In fact, ALL the votes against the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments came from DEMOCRATS. The separate bath rooms for “Negroes”, the “Green Book” for separate restaurants in the South, segregation and Jim Crow laws were supported by Southern Democrats – not Republicans.
So how did the Democrat Party magically become the moral compass of America in race relations? Simple. The Dems took credit for The Civil Rights Act of 1964 and have been using it to their political advantage ever since. But it has not been to the advantage of most African Americans.
Let’s face it, these leopards called Democrats didn’t just magically change their spots. For example, Clinton’s mentor Fulbright was still a vocal and proud racist before, during and after its passage. After JFK’s assassination, LBJ signed the landmark Civil Rights Act, but was LBJ really a friend of blacks? Not really. He was a still a bigot and southern racist but he was also a master politician and an opportunist. He famously said: “With this Civil Rights Act, we’ll have the Nigger Vote for the next 100 years.” Well, it’s been 60 years or so. He was pretty much spot on.
Juneteenth? Only Blacks can celebrate? Really? Blacks need to remember that Lincoln was the first GOP President. He freed the slaves. Not the Democrats. The Democrat party was the party of Slavery, Segregation, Jim Crow. And despite taking credit the for Civil Rights Act of 1964, a HIGHER percentage of Republicans voted for it than Democrats. Even as late as a few years ago, a high ranking KKK lawyer who became a Democrat senator. Robert Byrd, his passing elicited high praise from every high ranking Democrat, yes, Hillary Clinton and even Barack Hussein Obama. Somehow the house plantation negroes don’t seem to mind if a Democrat KKK member is praised, but they’d be all up in arms if even one Republican says anything that can be interpreted as critical.
Well, the Black Lives Matter movement, like the Black Panthers, or the Nation of Islam is not really helping to heal wounds or unify. They are all radical movements that spew hate. The Nation of Islam is not just a hate group that despises white people, their leader Farrakhan is also quite the antisemite. They really hate Jews too. But left leaning Jews still prostrate themselves before these hate groups attempting solidarity with their cause. They would have just as much luck trying to bond with national socialists in Germany. Yes, some of these people are truly insane and suicidal.
Sadly, today blacks have been used by the Democrat party like they do other victim groups: gays, women, illegal immigrants, you name the victim group – they use them as a way to divide America and attack Republicans and Conservatives. The Democrat Party used the civil rights act not to free blacks, but to keep them on the Democrat plantation.
The results are plain. Despite billions of dollars poured into failed programs like LBJ’s Great Society, blacks still have higher unemployment compared to other race or ethnic groups, lower academic achievement, lower test scores, lower high school and college graduation rates (despite affirmative action), and the black family has been decimated due to the fact that almost all black children are being born out of wedlock. What makes it worse is black fathers have abandoned their children and this has had an enormous impact in leading to single mothers in poverty and black adolescent boys ending up in gangs on drugs with guns and violence.
Today the Democrats stand for open borders, illegal immigration (which negatively impacts jobs for large numbers of blacks), infanticide and abortion on demand (which specifically target black and brown babies as Margret Sanger of Planned Parenthood designed). And now with the terrible optics of a rogue cop with his knee on the neck of George Floyd, the illiberal left has used Black identity politics to make George Floyd’s death, who was a career criminal, a martyr rather than telling the truth of the Democrat failure in policies. The black family has been torn apart, The bad joke that is all too true: What’s the most confusing day in Harlem? Father’s day. Laugh. Cry. Censor me. But it’s funny and painful because it is all too true.
The results of bad policy – not racism gives us the following statistics: Blacks make up 13% of the population commit 50% of ALL burglaries, 33% of all murders. Of the 7,000 murders or deaths by shooting of blacks last year – most are blacks killing other blacks. The police killed 250 blacks according the Washington Post stats in the commission of a crime (405 whites). Only 10 unarmed blacks were killed by cops and only a couple like the George Floyd killing was by a bad cop – whereas there have been dozens of cops killed by black criminals. Floyd was a career criminal who put a gun to the belly of a pregnant woman in a home invasion. He was arrested and sent to jail multiple times. In May he was arrested for pushing counterfeit money after he lost his job as a bouncer at a bar during the shutdown. So this is the man who has been memorialized where politicians and entertainers sang his praises on TV to millions of people. Yet almost every day there is a shooting where innocent black children have been killed by stray bullets from black criminals, yet there are no mass memorials for them or Democrat frauds taking a knee in Kunta Kinte outfits for them…
The irony of all this insane notion to “defund Police” is that statistics prove conclusively that aggressive police policies like stop and frisk has saved thousands of lives in NYC (and everywhere it is used). For example, during Rudy’s 8 years compared to the previous 8 under Dinkins and the other Dem mayor – there was a drop form over 2000 to under 500 murders a year – and most were minorities and the majority were black on black. If Black Lives really mattered to the illiberal locusts of the left they would push for more police and tell you the facts. But they don’t care about blacks or any of their other victim groups. They just need them angry and mad and voting for them and hating whites, Conservatives and Republicans. Wise up Black men and women. Wise up.
