Let’s compare, shall we. For months this summer many Democrat controlled cities were under siege by Antifa and BLM. Of course, most of the State-Run media – essentially everything but a couple of newspapers and Fox News – down played the violence. I had to go very deep, many pages into biased Google, but here’s a fairly mild account from the Washington Examiner Jan 20,2021, the other Washington newspaper not owned by Bezos:
“But the claims that the destruction of property involved isolated instances are disputed, with one report showing that riots across 140 U.S. cities were expected to cause at least $1 billion to $2 billion in paid insurance claims, which would break the record set by the 1992 Los Angeles riots following the police beating of Rodney King.
In Minneapolis, where George Floyd’s death in police custody initially sparked the summer of unrest, Gov. Tim Walz’s office estimated that rioters damaged more than 1,500 businesses and caused over $500 million in property damage. Calls to defund the police became widespread, with at least 13 major cities making cuts to their police budgets in response. While the majority of U.S. residents oppose measures that would defund the police, polls find that the movement has the majority of support among black people.
In Seattle, demonstrators took over multiple city blocks of the city’s Capitol Hill neighborhood and designated it the Capitol Hill Organized Protest, also known as CHOP, for over three weeks in June. The area was plagued with vandalism and violence, resulting in six people being shot during the area’s occupation.
A similar scene played out in Portland, Oregon, where protests and riots broke out for over 100 consecutive days and resulted in widespread vandalism and the shooting of a Trump supporter who was downtown participating in counterprotests. All told, damages in the city exceeded $23 million before the protests reached 100 days, with the federal courthouse in the city becoming a nightly target of vandalism.”
The death toll, dollar cost doesn’t even begin to cover the money donated by Hollywood and yes, Kamala Harris and her friends to bail out rioters. You see on this “animal farm, some animals are more equal than others”. Our rioters are noble. Theirs are “domestic terrorists” and require a bill and legislation to hunt them down and make our nation safe for democracy!
It was my contention, that Trump had more than enough legal authority to authorize the “Insurrection Act” during the summer violence. My guess is that his cowardly political advisors told him that by allowing the cities to burn, the people would blame the democrats. This would help him in the election. How did that work out? Some did, but that was a bad decision for two reasons. One, the Media underplayed the death and destruction from the months of riots. And Trump had a moral obligation to protect as many businesses and citizens as he could. The notion that he had to “be invited” by woke Dem mayors and governors was ludicrous. Kennedy, Johnson, Eisenhower did not need invitations to put down riots by segregationists in the south.

But now, we are so woke. The Dems in Congress are afraid. Even a few Rino republicans. Their holy place has been invaded by rioters. They are correctly worried that they could be targeted. Is their answer to try to find common ground and start the healing of this most contentious election in US history? Hell no! Their answer is 25,000 troops surrounding the Capitol with fences and razor wire. All the while, Biden issues one damning executive order after another costing thousands of jobs by cancelling the Keystone pipeline, and while they build fences to protect the Ruling Class, they are tearing down barriers to keep illegals out. I wouldn’t be surprised to see trucks hauling fences from the southern border to surround DC and the Capitol.
“What happened Jan. 6 just cries out” for such a response (Domestic Terrorist Law), McCaul said. “I think it sends a strong message about where Congress is, that we’re going to treat domestic terrorism on an equal plane as international terrorism.”

Is this America? Looks more like something you’d see in a Banana Republic.
