“Republicans voted for the first checks last year: “the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act, was introduced in the House on March 4, passing 415-2, with 2 Republicans voting against it. It quickly moved to the Senate, where it was approved a day later by a 96-1 vote, with only Republican Sen. Rand Paul voting nay. Trump signed the bill on March 6.” Both parties provide funds in an emergency: why do you play the fool by blaming it on Democrats?
I do not think giving people support, healthcare, emergency help, or education should be seen as a bribe. It is what government is mandated to do, to serve the people and as the Constitution puts it, “to promote and provide for the general welfare.”
I belong to neither party, but the difference is that Republicans tend to give money and favors to the rich, while Democrats tend to give money and aid to the working class. Democrats do seek to earn favor with working Americans by helping them, while Republicans seek to earn funding and votes from the rich by catering to their interests.
This is not a hard and fast rule as Democrats have often also served the wealthy, but if we had to choose an example, it would be the current debate about how much financial aid Americans should get, with Democrats favoring more, Republicans less.
Democrats try to earn favor (a bribe is illegal so that is not an apt term) by helping the poor and working class. Republicans stay in power by helping the rich and giving the white working-class scapegoats and promises of economic uplift they fail to follow through on. That is why Trump said over and over: “I love the poorly educated.”

Big Tech, Silicon Valley Billionaires, Big Media – all give to Dems and in fact besides the outright voter fraud, the Billionaire Oligarchs of Media and Tech gave Dems the election by their bias against and censorship of Trump. The NY Post had hard evidence (computer hard drive and testimony from a business associate) about not just Hunter and Joe’s brother’s corruption in Ukraine, China and elsewhere, that Joe “Big Guy” himself, was taking a piece of the pie. These countries own Biden. But the Tech Oligarchs censored this which would have most likely made a major difference in the election. If the GOP wins back the House (highly unlikely since the mail in voter fraud seems to be burned into the system) the first order of business is to impeach Biden, just on principal. Probably won’t need to because by the mid-terms, Biden will probably resign, forced out to give Harris the job to continue the Obama regime. But beyond this, the in-kind contributions in Media and Tech equate to billions of dollars in free advertising. How else do you account for a senile plagiarist fool becoming President? Controlling the media and voter fraud will do it every time. The Dems talk about bribing – “giving” to the poor, but what they are doing now is using identity politics, Race, Gender, Wokeness – to punish the middle class. Their goal like all tyrants is to create an indoctrinated serf class – a one party system. The borders are wide open to turn America into California – a one party state – a one party country. Reagan and Trump were not traditional GOP check pants Republicans – funded by the Rich. Their support came from the broad middle class abandoned by Bushes, Clinton and Obama. Your assessment of Trump has more to do with the fact that none of his accomplishments were ever mentioned by the Big Tech or Media oligarchs and every chance they got they bashed him. Biden in a basement bunker did nothing to win over the public, but he didn’t need to do anything except limit his gaffs which were numerous, but covered up by the biased Media. When the illiberal left uses the term “misinformation” – it is something the illiberal left is good at – what ever they accuse Conservatives of – you can be sure they’re guilty of that very thing!
But friend, things have changed drastically. You are easily 20 years out of touch. Google, Twitter, Amazon, Facebook did NOT EXIST 20 years ago. They are all in on pushing the Dem Socialist Agenda. They do not care about the American middle class. They are “multi-national” and they have more in Common with the Communists in China in both ideology and motivation economically than they do in supporting our American Republic. Google and Amazon are worth over a Trillion Dollars in Market Cap! They have more wealth than all but about 16 countries on the planet who have more than trillion dollars in GDP. The other 160 countries on the planet are not as wealthy as these Tech Oligarchs like Bezos and Zuckerberg. If you want to know why our state-run public schools are so bad, take a look at the Dem controlled Teachers Unions. Teachers Unions are one of the largest – if not largest – donors to the Dem party, and this unholy alliance has created the “poorly educated” you mention – not Trump. And that’s just K-12. The University system has been run by Marxists and the far left for generations – and now even in Science and Engineering – you would have a difficult time finding a Republican or Conservative. They live in their own woke leftists’ bubble.
Trump and the 75 million of us who voted for him are not going away whether Trump runs in 2024 or not. Most of us know that the Tech Tyrants and the Big Media Oligarchs must be “Regulated” – not the first choice of your average Republican or Libertarian, but unless these Oligarchs are controlled, this country will be no different in a few years than Venezuela, Russia or Ukraine…just bigger and more dysfunctional – and way behind China as a second-rate power. Dale R – you need to catch up. Your thinking is mostly controlled by the biased media and your old stereotype of the GOP. However, if McConnell and Romney and other RINOs gain control of the party, then your 40-year-old out of date picture of the GOP will be correct.
