Yes, the great one Pavarotti does hit the High C – but to my ear it isn’t flawless, but the audience didn’t mind or they don’t have my ear. Maybe some of both. An ovation after he hits the note. Never seen this before, but I suppose if it has happened before it was Caruso’s audience. The voice is magnificent. Perhaps the best tenor who ever lived. Certainly in my lifetime. My personal favorite opera. Puccini…La Boheme
