To describe my teaching philosophy, I suppose it is only right to discuss my political philosophy. I do not consider myself a Republican and I loathe what the Democrat Party has become – not that the Party of Slavery and Segregation ever had a truly noble history.
What am I? An Independent. A Libertarian. A classic liberal – like the English and Dutch founders of America who believed in Judeo-Christianity but were tolerant of those with other religions or none; a merchant class; a belief in capitalism but with the rule of law to provide justice rooted in natural law philosophy that fought tyrants whether they were in government or monopolists who controlled industries.
But the modern Democrats who call themselves liberal have little in common with classic liberalism. The Democrat Party has moved to the anti-religious Marxist left while simultaneously being in the pocket of tech monopolies like Twitter, Facebook, Google and Amazon. These tech giants use their control of social media and influence to censor conservatives while promoting democrats, Globalists, Marxists and their allies in Communist China. In fact, Bezos founder of Amazon, the richest man in the world, owns the Washington Post – his platform to bash Conservatives. Google and Amazon both have market caps approaching a Trillion dollars. Yes, with a “T” Trillion. That’s the equivalent of the wealth controlled by JD Rockefeller when Standard Oil was the monopoly that controlled most everything in the late 19th and early 20th century America.
But Rockefeller never had the capability to control the media content and influence elections the way that Google and the other Tech giants do today. And they are firmly globalists and anti-American. They do not believe in the American dream. They believe in their rights as elitists, aristocrats of the modern age. And the masses are all the same to them. Chinese, Indians, any worker who can help make them become richer and more powerful is what they want. Although these tech giants got their opportunity in America under America’s laws, freedoms, and technology in large part driven by the military – e.g., the Internet itself, they could care less about giving back to America and American workers. In fact, with the visa programs that allow them to get cheaper off shore labor, they are quite happy to give jobs to foreigners at the expense of the American worker.
And now to get to my sense of the Education establishment in America. The Teachers Unions, the Universities, the Media, Hollywood are all nakedly anti-American, anti-History, anti-White, and though they superficially talk about white supremacy and institutional racism, none of their claims are backed up by facts, only emotion and now violence, intimidation and riots. In fact, the former Democrat Party of Slavery and Segregation is still the party of racists. It’s just now their racism is directed toward white America, to divide us, to intimidate us, to control us and to give them tyrannical power.
There are No Martin Luther Kings in this “civil rights” movement. There are no white Martin Luther Kings telling these elitists not to judge a race by the “color of their skin” – something they cannot control – but rather judge individuals by the “content of their character”. The Critical Race Theory movement is clearly “racist”. Proponents of this travesty are essentially condemning all white people – that is, those of us who are not “BiPoc” – Black, Indigenous, People of color – to be “white supremacists”. We must therefore teach our children to hate themselves, and as one privileged mixed-race author put it “step aside”.
The Confederacy of the Democrat Party, complicit Republican Globalists, most of the media, the Universities and Democrat controlled State run public schools and Hollywood are all engaged in fundamentally transforming America. And into what is the question? What will be the outcome if Critical Race Theory is continued unchecked in public and private schools and our critical institutions. Yes, even in the military. Tell me how many soldiers will want to defend a country they’ve been taught to hate and distrust and they consider racist?
My teaching philosophy is simple. Critical Race Theory must be exposed for the anti-American, anti-White racist philosophy it is. It must be expunged from our public institutions – especially our schools. History must be taught fairly. America has had its flaws. Slavery and segregation are definitely two of them. But we also had a very bloody Civil War where over 600,000 men died – over 300,000 white men in the North – fighting to free the black slaves. We had the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments added to the Constitution which gave blacks freedom, citizenship and the right to vote. We have almost 60 years since the Civil Rights Act – ended segregation and drastically improved voting rights for blacks. Let’s not lie that we are going through another “Jim Crow” era when a higher percentage of blacks voted than whites in recent elections. We have had a black president. Yet, there is economic disparity, but is it really due to “white supremacy” or perhaps it has more to do with the fact that over three fourths of all black babies are born out of wedlock and single mothers are raising their children in poverty? Race issues must be debated. And yes, there are other historical issues that must be discussed in relevant context of the time these men and women were living. I’m not sure, for example, that changing Drake High’s name is going to help the students while the school will be spending more on jack hammering the large marble D in front of the Main office and changing all the signs on campus, rather than recruiting quality teachers. I suspect recruiting quality unbiased teachers who educate rather than indoctrinate would be a better use of scarce dollars clearly wasted on woke cancel culture, Critical Race Theory and changing names of schools.
