Leave it to Yahoo Sports to attack hall of fame QB Brett Favre for not being woke enough. His crime? He simply said he doesn’t believe there should be politics in sports. This sports writer, who obviously aspires to be a political contributor to MSNBC or CNN rather than a lowly beat sports writer for Yahoo is relentless in his criticism. To this mindless twit, Favre is just another white supremacist ignoring the plight of black multi-millionaires kneeling on football fields and basketball courts. Oh the insensitivity to their plight! The other sin. Favre admitted he voted for Trump. Say it ain’t so. If you just want to see the game and you are offended by people disrespecting your country’s flag and national anthem, you need to be shamed and called out as a racist. I wonder if any of the numerous black football players who played with Favre who presumably actually know him a great deal better than this woke joke of a sports writer would call him a racist? Tangentially, this Yahoo laments how Favre is not sensitive to non-white non heterosexual non-cisgendered (?) people. Huh? What does all this gender foolishness have to do with Favre’s desire to simply see the game without the protests. Is it possible that these protests actually do more harm than good? Is it possible that what really happens when the illiberal left promotes all of this political discord at the one thing that should be pure and free of politics – sports – their hidden agenda is in fact to divide us? Is it possible that these protests do more harm than good for both the “cause” as well as for the “game” that fans pay good money to watch – and advertisers pay these leagues and players for TV rights?
Favre only commented on how he, like millions of sports fans, are offended by very wealthy athletes using the game that makes them their millions of dollars disrespecting patriotic fans who simply want to see a game without being bombarded by political activism. As some wise person once said, there’s a time and place for everything. And turning sports into a political statement is not one of them.
What’s really going on is that the Ruling Class is using this racial discord to keep the masses at each others’ throats. Millions of dollars to BLM for Billions of dollars in revenue and profits. Not a bad trade off. Like Communist China we are heading for a one party Tyrannical State led by Oligarchs who control their puppet politicians and media personalities. This is what is a Corporatist State looks like: no longer is there free enterprise – no longer is there real “capitalism” – no longer is there room for small businesses and individuals. And the brainwashed woke talking heads like this fool – maybe someday he’ll reach his goal and be on ESPN or CNN or MSLSD with the rest of the puppets of the Corporatist Monopolists and Oligarchs in the Ruling Class.
