In an article in of all places, that Globalist/Socialist site Yahoo, NYU Stern School of Business professor Scott Galloway says “We are barreling towards a nation with three million lords being served by 350 million serfs…”
I certainly agree with that statement, but I don’t quite get his Pollyanna solution: “Capitalism fails unless it rests on a foundation of empathy and love.” Huh?
So according to Adam Shapiro of Yahoo Finance Live, this infers that Galloway requires being harsh at times on corporations and more empathetic and generous with U.S. citizens. O.K. but how? Not all corporations are equal. Some are outright Monopolies. And I have noted we have two industries – Big Tech which includes social media giants Google, Facebook and Twitter and the Media/Entertainment sector – that are completely out of control. They are essentially so dominant that they literally are more powerful than most countries and they are clearly anti-American, anti-middle class, anti-Trump that they are unquestionably guilty of directly fixing the election for the Democrats and the far-left socialists and globalists who rule that party.
The notion of empathy and feelings are fine, but they don’t help in the fight to limit the monopolistic power of essentially two industries. My answer is quite simply to start using the same kind of solutions that trust busters like Teddy Roosevelt used to break up Standard Oil and its chief oligarch of the late 19th and early 20th Century JD Rockefeller. Today, we need to limit the power of Bezos who has not one but two issues. First, Amazon needs to be busted up and the playing field made easier for small businesses to compete. That’s my definition of compassion, empathy and love for small business. Second, no one man with that kind of wealth should be anywhere near major media mouth pieces like the Washington Post.
The other Tech players like Twitter, Facebook and Google also need to be held accountable for their censorship of conservatives. Doing away with their Sec. 230 protection is a start. But clearly Google’s monopoly status puts them in the same category as Amazon. At his zenith, JD Rockefeller’s Standard Oil was worth about a trillion dollars in today’s dollars. Google market cap is about a trillion and a half! Amazon is worth about a trillion. Of 180 or so countries on the planet only 16 have a GDP worth more than a trillion dollars. These companies by nature are monopolistic dictatorships – what the Oligarchs demand, the minions obey. Clearly, we can see this in the Media sector where the echo chamber is one voice – and it’s not democratic and certainly not pro-America, pro-small business or Conservative.
The one government regulation that would actually be beneficial to small business and the little guys in the market is to start using the anti-Trust division of the Justice department to reign in these vulture capitalists – which are really little more than Globalists with a socialist tyrannical ideology. But that looks like an uphill battle when so many politicians are bought and sold by either Big Tech Oligarchs, the Media Oligarchs, or the Communist Chinese. You want compassion for the little guy – start putting the screws to Big Tech, the media and politicians that are bought and sold by these forces that are by nature monopolies and undemocratic. Buy American. Bring manufacturing back to America. Oops. But that sounds like Trump. No wonder he has been so vilified by the forces of evil.
