From Encyclopedia Britannica: Benedict Arnold (born January 14, 1741, Norwich, Conn. [U.S.]—died June 14, 1801, London, England) served the cause of the American Revolution as an officer until 1779, when he shifted his allegiance to the British. In 1780 he offered to surrender West Point to the British, and he led a British attack on New London, Connecticut, in 1781. His name became an epithet for traitor in the United States.
Benedict Arnold fought bravely and successfully against the British during the early years of the American Revolution. He rose to the level of major general in the Continental Army, but his discontent over his treatment by superiors and his connections to loyalists led him in 1780 to ask the British for £20,000 (about $5 million today) in exchange for betraying his army post.
Hero or Not – Mark Kelly?

Mark Kelly on X: When I was 22 years old, I commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy and swore an oath to the Constitution. I upheld that oath through flight school, multiple deployments on the USS Midway, 39 combat missions in Operation Desert Storm, test pilot school, four space shuttle flights at NASA, and every day since I retired – which I did after my wife Gabby was shot in the head while serving her constituents. In combat, I had a missile blow up next to my jet and flew through anti-aircraft fire to drop bombs on enemy targets. At NASA, I launched on a rocket, commanded the space shuttle, and was part of the recovery mission that brought home the bodies of my astronaut classmates who died on Columbia. I did all of this in service to this country that I love and has given me so much. Secretary Hegseth’s tweet is the first I heard of this. I also saw the President’s posts saying I should be arrested, hanged, and put to death. If this is meant to intimidate me and other members of Congress from doing our jobs and holding this administration accountable, it won’t work. I’ve given too much to this country to be silenced by bullies who care more about their own power than protecting the Constitution.
The Department of War on Monday issued a statement saying it is looking into allegations of misconduct against Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ) following a video in which he took part, urging military members to defy orders from their superiors.
The statement contends that Kelly’s actions are “serious” and that further action against him is under consideration. Those actions may include a court-martial.
“The Department of War has received serious allegations of misconduct against Captain Mark Kelly, USN (Ret.),” the official statement begins.
Kelly, along with Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI), and Reps. Chris Deluzio (PA-17), Chrissy Houlahan (PA-6), Maggie Goodlander (NH-2), and Jason Crow (CO-6) urged military troops and intelligence officials to defy “illegal orders.” When asked specifically which orders – they could not name any. Hmmm.
The problem is that there is a vast difference between manifestly illegal orders and those whose illegality is debatable. The latter of which, refusing to obey an order one feels personally questionable, is itself illegal, under the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ).
In other words, service members can’t simply say they feel immigration enforcement, for example, is unlawful and walk away, which is precisely what these Democrat lawmakers were trying to incite.
The Dems are simply playing politics with the military and that does get them right up to the edge of sedition…the problem here is that we are in undeclared wars with the Cartels and those who fund insurrectionists…are these insurrectionists white supremacist’s or are they the ones that fund Antifa and BLM and the Democrat party? And yes, NGOs funding this track back to George Soros – the one traitor that nearly destroyed the economy of England and the British pound (oddly enough with the help of our present Sec of Treasury Bessent when he was a junior analyst at Soros’ company – who I presume has transitioned from the dark side) and is now attempting to destroy America. Will this traitor to the West be brought to justice? If we can target and take out enemies without – isn’t about time to take out these easily identifiable enemies within?
