Rand Paul predictably doesn’t understand Trump or what kind of battle America First Americans are in. True to his misplaced idealism – Sunday on NBC’s “Meet the Press,” Sen. Rand Paul claimed President Donald Trump’s military strikes against suspected drug boats were not legal. But he does admit that if there was a declaration of war it would be legal. But of the multitude of military strikes made by Presidents since World War 2 – I would offer that there are quite a few precedents for military strikes against enemies of this country. And I would suspect the 100,000 or so drug overdose deaths from fentanyl and other drugs that cross our border via land or water is sufficient reason to act. And it has become clear that Maduro is not just a corrupt leader of Venezuela but also head of their Drug cartel that has been targeting America.
Rand Paul means well, but he can’t temper his idealism with the reality that we are actually at War with the Cartels and we are definitely in a Civil war with the Democrat Marxists who flood our country with illegals for power, and it has become abundantly clear that they could care less that there is a very large number of criminals that have been allowed to come here during the open border Biden years. Of the nearly 500,000 illegal aliens arrested by ICE in the last nine months – about 7 in 10 are convicted criminals or have been charged with a crime.
I really don’t care for the newsreaders that inhabit network or even cable news, and that applies to Fox News’ Brett Baier – a slicker younger less reptilian version of Brit Hume. But he showed up on Levin’s show talking about his new book and I was actually impressed! He’s written a biography about the great Teddy Roosevelt – and I see a lot of similarities between Teddy Roosevelt and Donald John Trump. Roosevelt like Trump was an America First interventionist – but because of his compassion and sense of fair play was anti-Trust – but not what I would call anti-big business. He like many real Capitalists believe in a fair playing field where monopolies are limited and we actually have something that looks like “free enterprise”. Today that would more closely translate to Trump’s anti-Globalist positions. Trump’s border wall and tariffs to protect American businesses may not quite be the Trust busting methods of Roosevelt – but the general idea to help American business from foreign and domestic threats is the same – America first – protect American businesses. Hence, after decades of being in the pocket of the Democrat party – a large number of union members have come over as well as non union small business owners to vote for Trump – hence, Trump being called the “Blue Collar Billionaire”!
Roosevelt ran for President under the “Bull Moose Party” after he became disillusioned with Taft and the traditional check pants Big Business Republican Party. The Bull Moose Party was actually the Progressive Party, but Roosevelt’s “Progressivism” was nothing like the Marxists today or Wilson the racist, bigot of the traditional Democrat Party – party of Slavery, Segregation, and now Sanctuary City nullification of Federal Immigration Laws. And though Trump did not run on a new third party, he single handedly changed the Republican Party of the old Globalist Bush Rinos to the Trump MAGA America First Party.
And who does this remind you of from the Britannica Encyclopedia online?:
“The party’s popular nickname of Bull Moose was derived from the characteristics of strength and vigour often used by Roosevelt to describe himself. He waged an energetic campaign, during the course of which he was shot by an insane man in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, while on his way to make a speech. He went ahead with his address, telling the crowd that he had a bullet in his body but them that “it takes more than that to kill a Bull Moose.”
Do I need to remind Paul that Trump was shot at a campaign rally and famously raised his fist – Fight, Fight, Fight!? Do I need to remind Paul that a bystander was killed at that rally? Do I need to remind Paul that two ICE detainees were shot and killed and the ongoing riots from George Floyd to anti-ICE? Do I need to remind Paul that Charlie Kirk was assassinated?
Things get messy in war. It would be nice if we had an American First Congress that would declare War on the Cartels and go after the insurrectionists (both domestic and foreign) that fund Sanctuary Cities/States – including the insurrectionist politicians, but that’s not likely to happen in this divided government. So, it is incumbent on our Teddy Roosevelt – Donald J. Trump – to do what needs to be done for actual citizens of America including the middle class – not just the elite. Bozo Libertarian and Rino Politicians like Paul just don’t quite get what we are actually dealing with as they float around in their myopic bubbles in D.C. We are at War – it’s just Paul and his ilk haven’t quite figured that out yet.
